Slimaluma® is a patented, proprietary hydroethanolic extract prepared from the dried aerial parts of Caralluma fimbriata — an edible, perennial succulent cactus-like botanical native to India. The extract is standardized to contain 25–29% pregnane glycosides.

Caralluma fimbriata is grown in India. Seeds are initially cultivated in a greenhouse using manure-enriched soil and organic compost. Seedlings are transferred to outdoor growing areas and treated with natural Neem oil insecticide every three months. The aerial parts are harvested prior to the plant's flowering stage to capture peak bioactivity.
